Abstract:
To provide an organic electroluminescent element having excellent stability, durability, emission luminance and luminous efficiency, to provide a new compound useful for materials for organic electroluminescent elements, to provide a material comprising the compound and used for the organic electroluminescent elements, and to provide an organic electroluminescent element using the material for the organic electroluminescent elements.
This new methine compound represented by general formula (I) äR1is H or a substituent; Z is H, a substituent or an atomic group represented by general formula (III) [L6is an atomic group constituting a π-electron conjugated system; L4and L5are each methine or a substituted methine; (m) is 1 or 2]; R1and Z may together be bonded to each other to form a ring; Y is a substituent or an atomic group represented by general formula (II) [L1is an atomic group constituting a π-electron conjugated system; L2and L3are each methine group or a substituted methine; (n) is 1 or 2];at east one of Z and Y is an atomic group represented by the general formula (III) or (II)}.
