To provide a data providing apparatus whereby authentication information varies with each authentication processing and a plurality of authentication states can be managed, and to which many clients can make processing requests at the same time.
A communication medium apparatus disclosed herein asks the data providing apparatus for the authentication of itself after detecting establishment of authentication of a communication apparatus, and requests the data providing apparatus to revise an authentication key of the communication apparatus into a temporary authentication key, the temporary authentication key being a temporary effective key and restores to the original authentication key when invalidated, after the establishment of the authentication. Further, the communication medium apparatus uses the setting temporary authentication key to request the data providing apparatus to perform proxy authentication when the communication apparatus whose authentication is established makes an access request to the data providing apparatus. The data providing apparatus and a data providing system for authenticating those are disclosed.
