To provide a means for sanitarily and economically separating and recovering plastics from a waste mixture discarded from households and containing garbage, paper, fibers, wood materials and plastics (including waste plastics used for wrapping cases of food) and further capable of efficiently reutilizing the waste mixture of the plastics and biodegradable substances.
The waste mixture containing plastics and biodegradable substances is separated into a mainly plastic portion and a mainly non-plastic portion after fermentation treatment, not before the fermentation treatment. Food residues, excretions of animals, grass and tree, wood materials, wastepaper, fibers, and sewage sludge may be added to adjust the components. The plastics and non-plastics after the separation can respectively be used as fuel or gasification raw materials.
