Abstract:
Optical connector (34) for use with a light distributor (14) has first (36a) and second (36b) parts that are detachably coupled together. The two parts are separately coupled to two optical fibers (42, 44) that link them to the light divider. The two parts also have additional optical fibers (46, 48) linking them respectively to first and second optical instruments (12, 20). Thus the two inputs to the light divider are linked to the two optical instruments. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (1) two optical arrangements incorporating an optical connector and; (2) a method for producing an optical connection.
