To provide an information link system between drawing preparation CAD and member expansion CAD which reduces the burden of re-input of drawings and specifications in a member expansion division and further reduces human errors such as oversights and input omission in re-input.
The information link system consists of: a drawing preparation CAD system which is installed in a design division; a drawing preparation CAD system and a member expansion CAD system which are installed in the member expansion division; and an intermediate file. The intermediate file has an information link function for converting information outputted by the drawing preparation CAD system installed in the member expansion division to obtain information which can be subjected to member expansion processing by the member expansion CAD system installed in the member expansion division and making the member expansion CAD system read this information. The information link function is configured as a link function relating to external shape areas, roofs, floors, and specification information.
