To solve a problem that a conventional method filtrates a large amount of various impurities contained in an aluminum can to be recycled at low efficiency, and needs to replace a filter due to its clogging after a short period of filtering time.
The method for filtrating the molten metal in serial treatment comprises the steps of: pouring the molten metal from an upper part into a first chamber out of the first chamber and a second chamber which are installed so as to communicate with each other through a communication path in a filtering tank formed of a refractory material in a laterally-serial state; filtrating the molten metal while loading a weight of the molten metal on a plurality of filtering tubes which are each placed approximately horizontally, are arranged in a depth direction in the first chamber, have large mesh, have metal-entrance sides blocked and the second chamber side opened, and vertically moving the poured molten metal in the first chamber through the filtering tubes; introducing the molten metal filtered through the filtering tube into the second chamber through a communication path arranged in an upper part than the outlet of the filtering tube; and filtrating the molten metal while loading the weight of the molten metal on a plurality of ceramic tubes which are each placed approximately horizontally, are arranged in a depth direction in the second chamber and have fine mesh, and vertically moving it in the second chamber.
