To provide an image processor, an image processing method and an image processing program, capable of classifying automatically accumulated images, and capable of selecting easily the image desired to be stored or printed by a user, out of the classified images.

When a folder icon 76 is clicked by a mouse 32, or indicated by an operation input from a keyboard 30, a shape of the folder icon 76 is varied as shown in a symbol 76C to display the selection of a folder, and thumb-nail images 78 of the images in the selected folder are displayed on a thumb-nail display column 56. The images in the selected folder are automatically classified therein, based on date and time information (photographed date and time, updated and stored date and time) of image data, place information äGPS (Global Positioning system) information} of a photographing place, the number of images, the similarity of the images, event information or the like, and are distributed to prescribed categories to be displayed.
