Abstract:
A diffuser 31 is installed in an outlet disposed at downstream side of the valve body 2 of a flow control valve to slow down the velocity of flow 30 and to convert the moving energy into pressure. Thus the diffuser 31 can exactly restrain or prevent the occurrence of erosion and restrain the maximum flow from decreasing. The diffuser 31 is a hollow cone with an opening bottom 34, the inner angle (θ) of the top part 33 is smaller than 90 degrees, and plenty of small holes 32 are formed around the side of the cone.
