To provide a fuel injection valve capable of restraining an increase in a leakage quantity, when driving a valve element from a clearance formed between a large diameter part of the valve element including a small diameter part and the large diameter part and a sleeve installed in the large diameter part.
In this fuel injection valve 1, a needle 3 is fitted in a nozzle body 2 in a slidable state, and injection from a nozzle port 2a of fuel supplied under predetermined pressure, is allowed or checked by moving the needle 3. A needle driving chamber 42 for driving the needle 3 and a pressurizing chamber 33 are communicated by a communicating passage 43. The sleeve 24 is fitted to the large diameter part 21 of the needle 3 in the slidable state. The communicating passage 43 is connected to the needle driving chamber 42 via an outer peripheral surface of the sleeve 24.
