To provide a paper sheet handling device 11 capable of reducing a space in an upper part of a storage part 12 required for accumulating and storing paper money P and accumulating paper money P in an aligned condition securely.
A pair of guide members 31, 32 are provided so as to move vertically by corresponding to both side positions in the direction of width of paper money P above the storage part 12. When storing paper money, the pair of guide members 31, 32 are positioned at positions crossing the paper money P to be conveyed into the upper part of the storage part 12 from a paper money feeding-in port 13. Both sides in the direction of width of the paper money P to be conveyed into the upper part of the storage part 12 from the paper money feeding-in port 13 are distorted upward to give straight advance property and convey the paper money P into the upper part of the storage part 12 by the pair of guide members 31, 32 positioned at crossing positions. The pair of guide members 31, 32 are vertically moved in accordance with conveyance of the paper money P into the upper part of the storage part 1 and are once removed onto an upper face side of the paper money P to press the paper money P into the storage part 12 from above by the pair of guide members 31, 32.
