To provide a highly reliable lighting system capable of bright illumination, able to be miniaturized, and excellent in heat dissipating characteristics.

A plurality of insulating heat sinks 2 are disposed in the form of an array on the principal plane of a base part 1. An LED chip 3 is provided on each insulating heat sink. A plurality of the insulating heat sinks 2 and a plurality of the LED chips 3 on the base part 1 are sealed by a phosphor containing resin to form a phosphor containing resin mold part 4. A spherical resin mold part 5 is formed on the phosphor containing resin mold part 4. A cylindrical support 6 is mounted to the back side of the base part 1. A plurality of radiation fins 7 are provided on the peripheral surface of the support 6. A plurality of the radiation fins 7 radially extend outward from the peripheral surface with the center axis of the support 6 as a center. A base 9 is provided on the other end face of the support 6 through an insulating part 60.
