Abstract:
On receiving the caller ID, a request for further information is sent from the called party to a server that searches its database for information that is associated with the caller ID of the calling party so as to obtain further information about the caller e.g. name, image, movie, ring tone, address or map showing the address or personal information. This information is then given to the called user before actually answering the call. Functionality also known as Enhanced caller ID.
