To obtain a conjugate fiber for obtaining a woven or knitted fabric having a swelling feeling, stretchability, excellent clarity and deep color and a knitted or woven fabric constituted of the conjugate fiber.
The conjugate fiber is obtained by twisting a cellulose acetate conjugate multifilament yarn that has a three layer bond structure in which a cellulose diacetate is sandwiched between a cellulose triacetate and a cellulose triacetate in a single fiber cross section and a part of the cellulose diacetate is exposed to the surface of the fiber and has fine folds on the surface of the fiber in a direction approximately perpendicular to the fiber axis with a specifically crimped specific polyester multifilament in the mixing ratio of 40-80 mass% of the cellulose acetate conjugate multifilament yarn in a twist multiplier of 10,000-20,000. The woven or knitted fabric is obtained from the conjugate fiber.
