To provide an afocal three-dimensional optical apparatus which enables display positions etc. of a displayed three-dimensional optical image to be adjusted without fixing for the depth magnification and enables a subject to be observed as a three-dimensional optical image at a location apart from the subject without using a background color uniformizing means.
The afocal three-dimensional optical apparatus 1 is provided with an optical part 3 comprising a plurality of the afocal optical systems 2. A first lens element 12a and a second lens element 12b are arranged on the same optical axis to form each of the afocal optical systems, the first lens elements are arranged on the same flat plane in an array shape and the second lens elements are arranged on the same flat plane in an array shape to form the plurality of afocal optical systems 2. The afocal optical system is constituted in such a manner that the first lens elements and the second lens elements are disposed on the position where parallel light rays made incident from the first lens elements are converged into the front side focal point of the second lens elements.
