To provide a preformed body with which the strength of a branching part of a hydraulically formed article is improved.
The preformed article has a first outer surface material 10 and a second outer surface material having edge parts superposed and joined to each other and eventually forming an outer surface part of the hydraulically formed article, and reinforcing materials 30 arranged on the inner sides of the first outer surface material 10 and second outer surface material and eventually forming reinforcing ribs to partition the hollow section of the hydraulically formed article. The first outer surface material 10 and the second outer surface material include the branching part 11 having expansion areas 13 to 15 extending in at least three directions and a central area 12 where the expansion areas 13 to 15 concentrate. The reinforcing material 30 has the expansion areas 13 to 15 of the branching part 11, and end surface areas 36 to 38 facing the central area 12, and a central area 35. Joined parts 55, 56 and non-joined parts are respectively arranged in the end surface areas 36 to 38 and the central area 35 of the reinforcing material 30.
