Abstract:
To provide an emulsion composition of good stability and a feeling improver for use in fibers, which make it possible to give an organopolysiloxane film by the drying only, without containing a metal-based compound such as a tin catalyst. The film forming organopolysiloxane emulsion composition contains (A) a product of the reaction of a both-end hydroxy group terminated organopolysiloxane expressed by formula: HO-[R12SiO]n-H, with an organopolysiloxane which has a trialkylsiloxy unit, a silicate unit and a silanol group and which is expressed by formula: [R23SiO1/2]a[R22SiO2/2]b[SiO4/2]c (wherein, R1, R2 are each a monovalent organic group, a hydroxy group or a hydrogen atom; n is a positive number of 2-5,000; 0.1 ≤ a ≤ 0.7; 0 ≤ b ≤ 0.5; 0.3 ≤ c ≤ 0.7; and a+b+c=1), (B) a water-miscible organic solvent having an SP value of 8.0-11.0, (C) an emulsifier and (D) water.
