To provide a communication function capable of efficiently utilizing wireless media in mobile communications.
A radio communication terminal comprises: a means for acquiring terminal location information of the radio communication terminal; an area location acquisition means for acquiring area location information of a service area for wireless media; a means for judging whether the radio communication terminal is located within the service area or not from the acquired terminal location information and area location information; a means for acquiring move information of the radio communication terminal; a means for predicting the times to enter and leave the service area of the wireless media to be monitored, from the acquired move information, terminal location information and area location information; and a control means which, is shifted into a monitoring state for monitoring the wireless media if it is judged that the radio communication terminal is located within the service area and when the predicted time of entrance comes, and which is shifted into a standby state if it is judged that the radio communication terminal is located outside the service and when the predicted time of leaving comes.
