Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent solvent crack, to maintain the strength enough to withstand long-term use in the oral cavity and to obtain sufficient strength of adhesion. SOLUTION: This bracket 1 for dental orthodontic is so constituted that the surface on one end side is fixed to the teeth and an arch wire 99 engages a slit 4 formed on the other end side. In such a case, the bracket consists of a composite resin having a first synthetic resin for imparting the intraoral strength to the bracket and a second resin for imparting adhesion performance thereto.
