Abstract:

To provide a treatment method wherein the elution of fluorine from a steel slag is suppressed over a long period of time and the condensation of a calcium compound and the steel slag is inhibited, and a modified slag having been treated through the method.

To a fluorine-containing steel slag in a pulverized massive state, 2.5-30 mass% 12CaO-7Al2O3and/or 3CaO-Al2O3having a particle size of larger than 0.5 mm but smaller than 30 mm are added. The method can stabilize the fluorine eluted from the steel slag and prevent the elution.
