Abstract:
A headlamp for cars has a reflector (10) in whose apex region is located a light source with a pivoting screening device (32,45) which in one position for main beam allows light from the light source to reach a first reflector region or to exit from this and in a position for dipped beam, screens light sent out from the light source to the first reflector region or light reflected from this. The screening device can be pivoted by an electromagnetically controllable actuator located on the reflector. The pivoting screening device comprises a screen (32) which can be restored into its home position by the restoring force of a restoring device.
