Abstract:
A method for the production of propylene oxide (PO) by reacting propene with a hydroperoxide in a nitrile-containing solvent in presence of a porous oxide-containing catalyst, involves using a zeolite catalyst with an X-ray crystal structure of the MWW type. An independent claim is also included for formed catalyst bodies containing the above type of zeolite.
