To provide an electronic determining device and system for races, where resolution in a time base direction is set to be the same high precision as that of monochromes in the color type line sensor in a two-row arrangement.

The color type electronic determining device for races uses a line sensor type photoelectric conversion element in a two-row structure for performing an order-of-arrival determination reference only by the output of a green pixel detection element row, thus increasing space resolution. In the line sensor type photoelectric conversion element in a two-row structure, only the green pixel detection element is arranged successively in one row, and blue and red pixel detection elements are arranged alternately in the other row. The line sensor type photoelectric conversion element is a photoelectric conversion element in a CCD or CMOS structure, and only the output of a green pixel detection element is used to display an entire display image in monochrome at not less than a magnification rate, where color deviation occurs.
