To provide an engine driving work device capable of keeping output of an engine constant by adjusting the air-fuel ratio to the optimal air-fuel ratio without using auxiliary fuel even when a calorific value of low calorific value gas used as fuel of the engine varies.
This engine driving work device has the engine using the low calorific value gas as the fuel, a mixer for mixing the low calorific value gas with intake air of the engine, a work machine driven by the engine, a sensor for measuring the calorific value of the low calorific value gas, and a gas booster for supplying the low calorific value gas to the mixer. Since pressure of the low calorific value gas supplied to the mixer is adjusted by a signal measured by the sensor, even when the calorific value of the low calorific value gas used as the fuel of the engine varies, since the air-fuel ratio can be adjusted to the optimal air-fuel ratio without using the auxiliary fuel, the output of the engine can be kept constant.
