Abstract:

To provide a coated aluminum alloy plate for a can cap which provides a can cap ensuring tight adhesion between the sealing compound and the coating film on the inside surface of the can cap and having excellent defoaming resistance.

The coated aluminum alloy plate is used for the cap of a can of a drink containing carbonic acid, and carnauba in thin-film form alone is adhered as a wax on the surface of the inside-surface coating film located on the inside-surface side of the cap in the aluminum alloy coated plate. The amount of carnauba adhered is 0.5-15 mg/m2. The inside-surface coating is preferably formed by applying a coating containing 0.1-1.5 pts.wt. of carnauba alone as an inner wax relative to 100 pts.wt. of the solid content of an aqueous or a solvent type organic resin coating to a weight of the coating film of 30-60 mg/dm2and baking.
