To provide a method for sealing remains and its device for preventing decay and breeding of harmful insects and can store the remains safely and hygienically for a long period of time.

The method for sealing the remains comprises: a dehumidification step for supplying dehumidified air while mixing the remains fed by a crematory in a crushed state and removing moisture included in the remains; a crush step for crushing the remains with the moisture removed at the dehumidification step into a fine powder state; a collection step for collecting the remains in the fine powder state at the crush step; and a wrapping step for feeding the collected remains to a synthetic resin made container and sealing the container by heat fusion in such a state that the synthetic resin lid is closed.
