Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an equipment cost and a maintenance cost by miniaturizing post-treatment equipment by reducing the amount of exhaust gas. SOLUTION: One end of a primary cooling duct 12 is connected to the exhaust gas outlet of a melting furnace 10 and the other end thereof is connected to the upper inlet of a cooling tower 14. The exhaust gas discharged from the melting furnace 10 is diluted with the cooling air blown into the primary cooling duct 12 from the air blow-in port of the duct to be primarily cooled by the cooling air. The exhaust gas, after primarily cooled by the cooling air, blown into the tower is cooled by cooling water sprayed from two fluid spray nozzles 16 provided to the upper part of the cooling tower 14. The other and of the secondary cooling duct 22, of which one end is connected to the lower exhaust port of the cooling tower 14, is connected to a dust collector 24. The exhaust gas, which is cooled by water in the cooling tower 14, is diluted by the cooling air, blown into the duct from the air blow-in port of the secondary cooling duct 22, to be secondarily cooled.
