Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming a canister shell capable of easily forming a three-dimensional figure even for a large diameter canister shell by utilizing a liquid pressure. SOLUTION: In a device for forming a canister shell 1, a forming head 40 is inserted into the canister shell 1, placed in split external molds 23, 23a forming three dimensional shape, so as to be expanded by pressurized water. A die clamping mechanism 24 for the split external molds 23, 23a is comprised of air cylinders 28, 28a, linked with the split external molds 23, 23a, for opening and closing them, die clamping blocks 30, 30a being inserted and removed into the back of the closed split external molds 23, 23a, and hydraulic cylinders 29, 29a for imparting die clamping force via the die clamping blocks 30, 30a. Thereby opening and closing for the split external molds 23, 23a and imparting of the die clamping force can be isolated. And die clamping force large enough is available while downsizing the mechanism, and the formation of a large diameter canister can be easily performed.
