Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply and an image forming device enabling a highly reliable power output control for a plurality of switching power circuits the stop in a predetermined sequence when a power switch is open to prevent malfunction/failure due to power-off in such equipment as HDD. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a power supply 80 which contains a power supply circuit 4 supplying power to a large load for image forming and additional power supply circuits 5, 6 feeding power to control system circuits, a rectifier filter circuit 3 supplying DC voltage to the above power supply circuits, a power switch 2 supplying commercial alternating current to this rectifier filter circuit 3, and a signal processor DSP7 providing the power supply circuits 4, 5 with PWM1, PWM2 to suspend power outputs from each power supply circuit 4, 5, 6 according to the sequence and the timing of a sequence table stored in RAM7c as required by abrupt opening or voltage drop in the power switch 2. The DSP7 informs imaging control means 61, 51 of the power switch 2 OFF before suspending power output to complete writing of HDD66. The sequence table is stored in NVRAM26a and then transferred to a rewritable RAM7c.
