To provide a strainer which suppresses the vibration of a screen, surely prevents the damage of the screen, a strainer main body and a cap and is excellent in assembleability and maintainability and also excellent in economical efficiency, and the manufacturing method of the screen for the strainer.

For the strainer 1, a cylindrical screen 3 is freely detachably housed in the strainer main body 1. A dipping layer 10 composed of an elastic material such as rubber or resin is provided on both or one of the end parts of the screen 3 housed in the strainer main body 1. The screen 3 is composed of a cylindrical body 7 where many through-holes 7a are formed in a thickness direction, and the dipping layer 10 covering the inner and outer surfaces of the end part of the screen 3 is integrally formed via the through-holes 7a.
