Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship course holding control device having no variations in thrust, reduced in an overreaching phenomenon of ship course holding control, and applicable to a ship having only one single-axis propeller. SOLUTION: This ship course holding control device is provided with a means for determining a scheduled course A to be held by a ship Q; a means for setting the specified course speed to be held by the ship Q in the scheduled course A; a means for measuring the ship actual positions Xs, Ys, the azimuth and the speed; a means for calculating the course deviation ΔY, the azimuth deviation Δp and the speed deviation or the azimuth deviation and the speed deviation from the measured value, the scheduled course A and the specified course speed; and a means for calculating thrust to be output from one or a plurality of propellers from the calculated deviations. The scheduled course A is a continuous course. The course deviation ΔY and the azimuth deviation Δp are calculated by taking points on the scheduled course A separated from intersections Xm, Ym of a perpendicular line dropped from the actual ship positions Xs, Ys to the scheduled course A and the scheduled course A by a specified distance (d) as target points Xt, Yt.
