To provide an imaging apparatus which is advantageous in reducing cost and downsizing while suppressing the temperature rise of a main body case, and to provide an electronic apparatus.
The imaging apparatus 10 has a main body case 12 and a display case 14. The display case 14 stores and holds a display panel 30 and is supported at the front part of a left flank of the main body case 12 via a hinge 28 to swing in right-left directions and rotate. A compression/expansion processing part 38 compresses and expands video data and audio data, and so on. In the main body case 12, an imaging element 20, an imaging element driving part 32, a preprocessing part 34, a CPU 41, a ROM 42, a base-band processing part 36, a conversion part 46, a recording media driver 48, and a DC/DC converter 50 are incorporated. In the display case 14, the display panel 30, a RAM 44, and the compression/expansion processing part 38 are incorporated.
