To provide a cellular phone capable of excellently displaying a screen related to a received electronic mail by means of a structure capable of switching a display screen between a vertically oriented display mode and a horizontally oriented display mode.

While text information of an electronic mail is displayed on a display part 2a, the display screen in the horizontally oriented display mode is divided into two display areas 21 and 22 when the display screen is switched from the vertically oriented display mode to the horizontally oriented display mode. In a received mail display area 21, the text information of the electronic mail is displayed, while an image based on an attached file included in the electronic mail is displayed in an attached file display area 22. In this way, when the display screen is switched from the vertically oriented display mode to the horizontally oriented display mode, the display screen in the horizontally oriented display mode is divided, and the text information of the electronic mail is displayed in the received mail display area 21, while the screen related to the electronic mail is excellently displayed in the attached file display area 22.
