To provide a communication system for a gas consumption quantity and a gas meter which can precisely acquire a consumed gas quantity.

The gas consumption quantity communication system 10 comprises: the gas meter 11 having a memory means 27 for storing consumed gas quantities for respective prescribed periods; and an integration flow controlling device 13 which is connected to the gas meter 11 via a communication line 12 and acquires the consumed gas quantities stored for the respective prescribed periods in the memory means 27 by using the communication line 12. The gas meter 11 has a memory control means 28 which brings the memory means 27 to store data representing a completion of a time correction in the case of receiving the time correction designated by the integration flow controlling device 13, so as to correspond to the consumed gas quantity for the prescribed period including a time when the time correction is designated.
