To provide a battery pack that enables easy insertion of batteries into position in a case, and that can be assembled with efficiency and at low cost by allowing lead plates to be connected to accurate positions in the batteries housed in the case simply and easily.
The battery pack comprises a plurality of batteries 1 housed in the case 2, the batteries 1 being arranged in parallel with each other such that respective end faces are located in the same plane, and lead plates 3 connected to convex electrodes 1a and planar electrodes 1b. The case 2 has a plurality of holding cylinders 6 disposed adjacent to each other, the holding cylinders 6 each having openings 8 at both ends thereof for exposing the convex electrodes 1a and the planar electrodes 1b to the outside. The case 2 further has stopper ribs 9 provided along the peripheries of the openings 8 of the holding cylinders 6, for identifying the projecting positions of the planar electrodes 1b of the batteries 1 and for placing the lead plates 3 in position. The battery pack identifies the projecting positions of the electrodes of the batteries 1 using the stopper ribs 9, allows the convex electrodes 1a and the planar electrodes 1b to be located in the same plane, and allows the lead plates 3 to be located inside the stopper ribs 9 and placed in position in the case 2 for connection to the batteries 1.
