Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for efficiently performing a version-upgrade work when a program installed in the image forming device is updated to a prescribed version program and also to provide a program updating method for the device. SOLUTION: The image forming device is connected to another image forming device via a connection interface 48 and the device having the prescribed version program is selected from the image forming devices. When the image forming device is provided with the prescribed version program, the device transmits the program to another image forming device. When another image forming device has the prescribed version program, the image forming device receives the program from another device and updates one's own program through the use of the received program.
