Abstract:
The wheel rotation counter (10) has a wheel rotation sensor (12) with two signal paths (18,20). The first is for a high-level current e.g. 14Ma. The second is for a low-level current e.g. 7Ma. The sensor output signal passes through wires (14) to a signal processing circuit (16). A voltage source (22) is connected to an integrated circuit (30), connected to a main processor (32) which monitors the signal amplitude level. The signal from the wheels passes through low-pass filters (24,26) to an evaluation unit (28) and an analog/digital converter (36). The main processor has a timer (34) for measuring time intervals for measuring cycles.
