PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil-preventing coating composition, hardly generating a crack in its coating film, having a good film-adhesive property, hardly generating coating film-peeling off, having a well controlled wearing speed of the coating film and capable of forming a soil-preventing coating film excellent in soil-preventing property, especially in soil-preventing property under a highly soiling environment and long time soil-preventing property. SOLUTION: This soil-preventing coating composition contains (i) a homopolymer of an α,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid ester monomer having an ester group expressed by formula [1]: -COOR1COOR2 or formula [2]: -COOR1COR2 (wherein, R1 is a 1-30C divalent hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 1-30C monovalent hydrocarbon group, a 1-30C halogen-containing monovalent hydrocarbon group or a 1-30C oxygen-containing monovalent hydrocarbon group), or (ii) a copolymer of the above α,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid ester monomer containing the ester group expressed by the above formulae [1] or [2] with an unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with the above monomer as a vehicle component (A).
