Abstract:
To provide a protective cover for a luminescent lamp which reduces damage caused in the event that the luminescent lamp filled with high-pressure noble gas bursts, and is easily attached and detached.
A safety cover protects the luminescent lamp filled with the high pressure gas. The cover is composed of a heat-shrinkable tube 1 in which a cut-away portion 3 of perforations 2 is formed. A surface protective material may be interposed between the heat-shrinkable tube 1 having the perforations 2 formed therein, and the surface of the luminescent lamp 5. Thus, even in the event that the luminescent lamp bursts while being transported or handled, scatter of fragments is prevented, and damage is reduced.
