To provide a method for regenerating organic sewage, in which the biologically-treated and membrane-separated water is supplied to a reverse osmosis membrane unit and the sudden fouling of a reverse osmosis membrane is prevented when the biologically-treated and membrane-separated water is subjected to reverse osmosis membrane treatment.
The method for regenerating organic sewage comprises the first step of treating organic sewage 72 in a biological treatment unit 10, the second step of membrane-separating the biologically-treated water obtained in the first step in a membrane separation unit 20 and the third step of treating the membrane-separated water 26 obtained in the second step in the reverse osmosis membrane unit 42. A second controller controls the rotational speed of a liquid chemical injection pump or the opening degrees of back pressure valves 54, 58, each of which is a fouling restraining means in the reverse osmosis membrane unit 42, on the basis of the concentration of soluble organic matter in the biologically-treated water in the first step or the membrane-separated water 26 in the second step.
