Abstract:
To provide a method for effectively detecting T-lymphocytic leukemia, by using abnormality of a gene related to the T-lymphocytic leukemia, such as ATL, as an indicator.
This method for detecting the T-lymphocytic leukemia comprises measuring a level of expression of an AREB6 gene in a specimen isolated from a living body and detecting the T-lymphocytic leukemia by using decrease of the level of the expression as the indicator. A kit for detecting the T-lymphocytic leukemia includes a reagent for measuring the level of the expression of the AREB6 gene.
