Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fender device capable of sufficiently realizing an cushioning effect even for a ship having an unusual shape of the ship body and also capable of corresponding even to the shape of a quay wall or the like. SOLUTION: This fender device is formed with a main body 31 as its center having a hollow box-shaped rigidity. To one direction of the main body 31, a first cushion member 32 is installed, on which a recessed surface 39 along the shape of the drum body of a ship to be berthed is formed. On the reverse surface of the main body 31, a second cushion member 33 for absorbing a reaction due to a contact to the quay wall is attached. Inside the casing 34 of the main body 31, a required amount of a liquid 44 as supplied water from an opening 42 by releasing the lid body 41 is stored, and the liquid is placed at a desired position in response to the draft of the ship to which the floating position of the whole of the fender device is to be berthed.
