To provide a heater, preventing radiation of heat from a heating body part for heating material to be heated without using a mechanical shutter.

This heater 1 includes: a heating body part 10 for heating material to be heated; a conveying path 5 for conveying the material to be heated to or from the heating body part; and an outside air inflow inhibiting part 14 in the conveying path for hardly causing leakage of heated gas in the heater body part to the outside. The outside air inflow inhibiting part is formed so that the upper part is inclined in the direction of separating away from the heating body part. In the outside air inflow inhibiting part, a cavity is formed in the interior, the interior is provided with a partition part whose upper part is inclined in the direction of separating away from the heating body part, and a plurality of division parts is formed to open to the conveying path 5. The gas from the conveying path is guided to the division parts.
