To provide an illumination device for walk in which leakage of light to surroundings can be prevented, of which the number of installing is reduced with a wider light distribution, and of which dazzling (glare) can be prevented.
In this illumination device for walk, since a light source 15 is arranged more downward than the height of eyes of passers-by passing a sidewalk 14 and the upper part is mainly covered by a non-light transmitting member 17, the light leakage to the surroundings is prevented and it can be prevented that the passers-by feel dazzling of the light leakage. Moreover, when the light from the light source 15 is irradiated at a traffic face 14a by a reflecting member 16, by reflection to a direction mutually intersecting along the traffic direction, since a long distance can be illuminated along the traffic direction, cost reduction can be realized by reducing the number of the installation.
