Abstract:
An adhesive for inorganic fibers including SiO 2 , CaO and Al 2 O 3 within a range excluding the range I defined by the following points A, 8, 18, 19 and 20 in the SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 -CaO state diagram shown in Fig. 1 , and including no zeolite. Point A: SiO 2 (0%), Al 2 O 3 (100%), CaO (0%): Point 8: SiO 2 (20.8%), Al 2 O 3 (79.2%), CaO (0%): Point 18: SiO 2 (46.3%), Al 2 O 3 (35.8%), CaO (17.9%): Point 19: SiO 2 (31.5%), Al 2 O 3 (53.6%), CaO (14.9%): Point 20: SiO 2 (25.2%), Al 2 O 3 (57.5%), CaO (17.3%)
