To provide a clutch unit which performs a position adjustment and a position holding of an output side mechanism, a position return of an input member (operation member), and a smooth operation, with a simple structure.
An output shaft 2 includes a journal section 2a at one end, a large-diameter section 2b at a central portion thereof, and a connecting section 2c at the other end. The journal section 2a is fitted in a radial bearing surface 3a1 of an inner ring. The large-diameter section 2b has an annular recess 2b4 formed at the end portion thereof opposite to the journal section 2a. An inner peripheral wall 2b5 of the annular recess 2b4 serves as a journal surface which a radial bearing surface 7e2 of a fixed side plate is fitted in. The connecting section 2c is provided with teeth 2c1 for connection of another rotary member thereto.
