Abstract:
A housing (5) has a guiding body (4) that is mounted by screws to a gripper arm (3). The housing carries two pivoting gripping jaws (6) that are controlled by a cam. The cam retracts or spreads the jaws apart. The housing is constantly spring-biased in a direction away from the guiding body. A pneumatically actuated rod (10) is coupled to the cam and passes through the guiding body. The cam when retracting abuts against a stop in the housing and, takes the housing along, until the housing contacts the guiding body.
