Abstract:

To make it possible to output a normal image preparation and arithmetic processing in an appropriate format without causing incompatibility in an imaging apparatus having an arithmetic function.

The imaging apparatus is provided with: a first vertical scanning circuit 14a and a first horizontal scanning circuit 12a which perform slow sweep processing to a unit pixel 3; a column processing part 26 which performs signal processing concerning the generation of normal image based on a pixel signal obtained by the slow sweep processing; a second vertical scanning circuit 14b and a second horizontal scanning circuit 12b which perform fast sweep processing to the same unit pixel 3; and an arithmetic processing part 27 which performs the arithmetic processing for executing a predetermined application based on a pixel signal obtained by the fast sweep processing. Since acquisition of unit signals required for performing each signal processing is independently performed, respectively, the normal image preparation and the arithmetic processing are outputted without causing incompatibility or in the appropriate format in the case of being provided with the arithmetic function such as, for example, a dynamic range extension function and an ID recognition function.
