Abstract:
A rotary pressure filter with numerous zones (including at least one drying zone) separated by separating plates, in which the separating plates sealing the drying zone(s) (A) are made of heat-resistant, wear-resistant plastic and those sealing the other zones (B) are made of low-friction plastic with good abrasion properties. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of methylhydroxyalkylcellulose (I) involving the separation of (I) from aqueous suspension by using a filter as described above.
