A solution search processing part 102 takes a solution space as an object of solution search processing. The solution space includes either of the number of products to be allotted to each divided base material for use and a cutting pattern of each divided base material for use and the number of divisions of one or more base materials, as variables and consists of combinations of ways of assigning values to the variables. In the solution search processing, values meeting a restrictive condition that the total width of products allotted to each divided base material for use is equal to or shorter than the width of the pertinent base material are assigned to the variables.
