To provide a technique that enables a plurality of information processors to safely share an information recording medium without requiring any complex process and that allows management of access rights about information stored in the information recording medium.
A secret key SK(s) is stored in the storage unit 13 of each PC10-s and an electronic signature consisting of a cryptogram PE (PK(s), KA) for which a common key KA is encrypted using a public key PK(s), the public key PK(s), and access right level information AL(s) is stored in a USB memory 20. Each PC10-s uses a secret key SK(s), decrypts the cryptogram PE (PK(s), KA) stored in the US memory 20, and extracts the common key KA to write a resulting cryptogram in the USB memory 20 or to decrypt the cryptogram. Then the electronic signature of the USB memory 20 is verified in a retrospective and recursive fashion so as to verify if the user has performed a process conforming to the access right given.
